Social media experts to help next generation of business professionals post with purpose
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Feb. 2, 2016 - Today, Business Professionals of America Inc., (BPA) announced a new partnership with Social Assurity, LLC, – a social media consulting and educational company headquartered in New York – to offer access, education and insight to the latest social media strategies and innovative tools to showcase the skills and qualities desired by today’s top colleges and employers.
This new partnership introduces BPA members at all educational levels to an exclusive series of online courses available to students, advisors and alumni of Business Professionals of America that will help enhance their skills, knowledge, and preparation for both educational and professional advancement.
“In this age of advanced technology and social media, it is important that we equip our members with the knowledge and understanding of owning their social profile and presenting themselves in the best way possible,” said BPA Executive Director Kirk Lawson. “To help accomplish this, we have joined together with SA to educate our members on the importance of owning your brand and using social media correctly.”
The objectives of this partnership include building and creating a strong, educational library of information and resources that will educate and benefit students and advisors on the importance of social media. As part of this collaborative partnership, BPA and Social Assurity will work together to co-create and promote resources and courses for students and teachers at the middle, secondary and post-secondary levels on the importance of understanding social media.
“Given the age range of the BPA membership, we would like to ensure that all members have an opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and expertise of Social Assurity,” said Lawson. “Courses and information can be developed based on educational grade level, age-group and so much more to ensure we are providing value to all of our members.”
As a launching point for this new partnership, Social Assurity will be introducing a social media educational track at BPA’s National Leadership Conference in Boston this coming May, that will provide BPA members with expert insight into their own online presence and teach them how to align their personal online brand with their academic and career goals.
